What is the Most Important Factor in Your Product Choice?

Lustre - What a Bright Idea

Lustre, the new Dermatein® Power Powder from BioOrganic Concepts, gives new meaning to the words bright and shiny - for hair, that is. It’s tailor-made for hair care products when maximum hydration, easy wet combing and shine are needed.
Lustre’s ingredients were chosen for their functionality and sophistication. This elegant new powder combines high quality materials that have been found to provide impressive substantivity plus intense moisturizing and conditioning. A natural vegetable-based cationic guar gum was selected for its high substantivity and low build up. A low molecular weight sodium hyaluronate was chosen for its ability to quickly penetrate to the deeper layers of the epidermis to hydrate and bind water.

Moisture retention and balance are enhanced through the use of hydrolyzed vegetable protein by creating a protective film for skin and hair. Lustre also contains Panthenol, known for its moisturizing, humectant and emollient properties.

The Ancient Art of Creating Colors

BioColours from Campo bring a simplicity to the often complex nature of cosmetic formulation. While they are based on plant phytochemcial mixtures from flowers, bark, leaves, twigs and roots of herbs, grasses, plants and mineral waxes, the actual bioactive color extracts derive from the ancient Siddha Materia Medica.

Using time-honored Siddha methods of extraction, natural waxes from carefully chosen herbs are sealed to a variety of substrates to create each BioColour. Every herb is selected for its unique affinity for a particular substrate. Thulasi, Vasa Kovil Thulasi, Mahakanni, Maruthanni and Sunisannaka are a few of the botanicals chosen for their ability to yield high molecular weight natural waxes. Finely ground minerals or freshwater sourced pearls, Mother of Pearl and Pearl Oyster shells are some of the source materials used to create the substrates.

It's All Becoming Crystal Clear!

As you know, some cosmetic ingredients cross over into the food arena.  And food ingredients can find a new home in cosmetics. That’s exactly the situation with BioCrystals. These colorful freeze-dried crystals originated in the food sector but are right at home in a spa exfoliating scrub or a luscious lip gloss.

BioCrystals can be used in any anhydrous formula where maintaining particle size is important such as face and body exfoliators. They work especially well in lip products. They can also be used in water soluble preparations for color enhancement and a pleasing scent.

Cutting It Paper Thin

Are you receiving less paperwork and enjoying it more? That’s the plan here at BioOrganic Concepts. In keeping with a company-wide effort to reduce overall paper use, we’ve adopted a new procedure. It turned out to be simple – send all requested literature electronically, cutting down the pile of documents that often crowd your desk. Of course, a MSDS will still be sent with each sample as required by law and hard copies of all literature is available upon request. Just contact our Sample Services at 562-236-5724.
